I'm going to step away from reviewing old movies and tell you that I had a date last night, dinner and movie, ...... with my girlfriend! After a quick sushi dinner, we saw Hairspray. What can I say? I thought it was brilliant. I have seen the original, and I saw the show in Toronto when the girl from AI was in it and I had LOVED that. But I have to say, I thought the movie was amazing. The costumes were to die for and I'm sure I drove my friend nuts leaning in every 5 seconds proclaiming "I want that dress!". I must go back and see it again. And I've updated my iPod with both the original sound track and the movie version.
Also, this weekend, we went up to the Kibbutz for the first time in months, basically since I hurt my knee. It was weird, Dumpling had a bad reaction and didn't want to sleep there, while BB, who is the one we are always concerned about when it comes to sleeping away, took it all in stride.
For entertainment, Hubs and I watched "For your Consideration". I would say that it's not going to replace A Mighty Wind or Best in Show as my favorites, but it was pretty damn funny. Best line has got to be "I'm not throwing out the baby with the bath water. Because you get a wet, critically injured baby"..... Ha! Still funny 3 days later!
So rent For Your Consideration, or leave your house and go see John Travolta in drag!
I've been waiting for to see "For your Consideration" for ever. It is next up in our netflix queue, but I've been too lazy to drop Syriana back in the mail. I think we've had that disc going on a year now.
Vinnie Barbarino in drag on the other hand, I'll pass. Not my bag.
P.S. I think you jinxed bloglines for me, unless it objected to more Jack Wagner content. I can understand that.

OMG. Herb is making me laugh. We've had The Music Man on Netflix since December. We're still watching it. I'm a party pooper. I don't think Hairspray is for me. I might actually laugh or something.
