I ended up going back and renting that room for 3 hours because her plane was in fact delayed and I had to wait a lot longer than originally thought. But I slept deeply for all 3 hours, so it was the best 36E I could have spent.
Mad props to Mortimer's Dad for the swanky digs located less than 5 min walking distance from the Eiffel tower. We walked A LOT this afternoon, we checked out Les Invalides (man, they knew how to build veterans hospitals in the 1600s) and we visited th atached Chrc.... Things we porbaly shouldn't have done while at the church: Mrs Figby pointed out that Jesus lokedlike he was giving e finger and I spied the large supply of votive candles and wondered aloud if they got them at IKEA (which Mrs Figby spotted from the plane)
.
We did lots of other cool stuff, but I gotta leave her something to blog about. But let's just say we saw an awful lot of chest-hair carpeted men with terrible BO and there is a naked man across the street from our hotel room, though he moves quickly and so far, she's missed him every time he went by.
I hope you guys are tearing up the town! Paris is doing something funky to your blogs: I just checked my bloglines and both of your blogs showed 200 new posts. I thought to myself, "Those two need to get out of their rooms and into the city!!!" But it turned out that nothing new was posted.
I'm sending you good shopping vibes!!!!

Glad y'all are having a good time. Les Invalides is pretty incredible, isn't it?
