it's all relative. the crap going on around here is nothign compared to what my old KLB bud B Mama is going through these days, so I feel like a schmuck even writing anything whiny....
On top of the big stuff going on that I can't talk about (though I have in fact shared with a few people, because hello... I'm going to explode with drama over here!), we have also been plagued with lots of mini dramas that add up to just horrible stress.
- no AC for 3 weeks at our prime tourist location....
- broken pool heater/filter that took forever to figure out
- STILL no one to hang wall paper... I am *this* close to giving it a try myself....
- had to leave my knitting/salvation in the middle because:
- PROJECTILE VOMIT! amazing babysitter M called to say BB was spewing liquids. Ran home, she seemed fine, thought she got overheated and let her rest for the day. She seemed much better. Then after dinner, while visiting Dumpling's Summer Day Camp for orientation, she started being very clingy and sticky... and next thing you know.... Dinner! out in the grass! Adn now fever.... probably just a stomach bug, but it totally screws up the schedule
- finally, the most unreliable web guy in history has hit a new low. And I must now migrate the entire store website somewhere else. But I don't know where. And I don't know how. And he's not cooperating, so we may very well lose a HUGE amount of vital data.... FREAKING OUT!
On the upside, amazing store manager extraordinaire finally returned from vacay tonight and will be at her post tomorrow. Yeah!
And I had wine in the house.... double yeah!
Finally, I have send out pool invitations to all the gals in knitting, so if you are reading this, COME OVER, I mean it. See, I told the world, come over! (and if you are not in knitting but live in my city, seriously, I could use visitors. I put on a nice spread, give a holler!)
1. I will ask D about webhosting. His company does it worldwide. Not sure if he can help, but will ask.
2. I'm coming. I just decided. Not sure if just Apples and myself, or more of us, but I feel there must be a pilgrimage to your city. Now that my French accent is better. I'm getting that back-of-the-throat, gaggy "r" down. Must practice. Must sashay around your back yard in my mom-ish tankini. Email me -- we'll figure out dates. (And we will totally stay in a hotel. No, I insist!)

And then I wish I lived in Canada (for just the warm months). Bummer!! I hope all the plagues pass over your house soon.

Is the drama related to your house? The stores? Paris? It is so mysterious.
And also, so sorry about the projectile vomit. I have a horizontal puker myself and it is always yucky.

Ugh, sorry about all the mini-dramas. Nothing's worse than a baby who is sick. And sorry about the big stuff. Enjoy your "do"!

Longtime reader, first time commenter. I run a web company, might be able to help / offer advice on moving web development stuff. At least help the process if not directly involved. I can at least whip the people into shape or move things along. E-mail me if you want some help.

Oy vey, you have a great deal on your plate right now. Wish I lived in your fair city right now because big stress usually equals great knitting night. You listened to my "assvice" so I hope it works well for you. I was so glad to see my knitting buds on Tuesday night after 2 months in Belgium. There's something about the feel of the yarn, the percolation of your problems with the other women and the liberal use of wine, coffee and desserts that mellows me out at least for the time I'm with them. So, "forget your troubles, come on get happy" for at least one night. Enjoy.

I feel your pain, this is the summer of stress for me too. Hang in there, all will be resolved somehow.

Lots of good, reliable places out there for web hosting. Drop me a line if you need a few names.
I don't know if you know this, but your store made it onto the blog Rare Bird Finds, I thought that might be a little pick-me-up.

Wish I was there. Sorry things are not going well with you this summer. Hope the stress dies down soon.

Sorry about all the hassles and BB being sick. If you supply the wine, I'll come visit and help you hang the wallpaper - I've never done it either, but I did watch a couple of guys hang paper at my house...hey, wait, what if I bring the guys and we drink the wine while watching them hang the paper??lol Hope things start looking up very quickly!!

Sorry about all the drama. I hope the wine helps. I wish I could come over and knit with you. I've never been to Canada. Some day...
Hang in there.
